Should I donate a car?
If you are wondering if it would be beneficial for you to donate a car,
read below.
Should you donate a car to charity? Here are the normal reasons people
make a car donation to charity.
The car isn't running, and the repair bill is too expensive to pay. You
don't want to have to fix the broken car that you don't even need or
use. While that car is broken, you still have to pay registration and
insurance.
You made more money than you expected and you are going to have to pay
so much income tax that you need a deduction. You have an extra car
that is just depreciating.
You don't want the hassle of paying for an expensive advertisement in
the newspaper just to have people come to you home and drive you car.
That can be dangerous.
You bought a new car, and the dealer didn't want the car as a trade in,
or you knew it was worth more. Maybe you bought from a private party
and couldn't trade in your old car.
You feel morally obligated to help a charity who has helped you. Maybe
you want to do something to help others instead of helping yourself. A
car donation is perfect for you.
As you can see there are many reasons to make a donation of your car,
boat, truck, or RV (recreational vehicle). It is good to know that most
charities will take nice luxury vehicles, trucks, and other forms of
transportation running or not.
We are organizing a list of charities, and it should be available soon.
